Trio
Con Brio
Formed in September 2000, Trio
Con Brio (Misha Galaganov, viola, John Owings, piano and Gary Whitman,
clarinet), is dedicated to performing and commissioning music for clarinet,
viola and piano. Their recitals feature the standard repertoire of pieces
by Mozart, Schumann and Bruch, as well as works by 20th century composers
including Lelie Bassett, Paul Walter Fürst, Gordon Jacob, Alfred
Uhl, and newly commissioned works by Robert Garwell (2002), Luis Jorge
Gonzalez (2004), Richard Lavenda (2004) and Eric Ewazen (2005).
