Quincy Porter
The duo of pianist
John Owings and violinist Fritz Gearhart has recorded the unpublished
manuscripts of American composer Quincy Porter on Koch International Classics.
The disc chronicles the genesis and development of Porters unique musical
style through these delightful and little-known works. The Owings-Gearhart
Duo has performed these works in New York at Weill Recital Hall, for the
Sonneck Society's National Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, on NPR s Performance
Today and in numerous recitals. .
